Hello, I'm
Muhammad Fahad
Hello! I am a dedicated student at the University of Calgary, pursuing a major in Business Analytics and a minor in Computer Science. Despite being in the early stages of my academic journey, I possess a profound interest in programming and data visualization.
Within the realm of Business Analytics, my focus lies in harnessing data to derive strategic insights. Proficient in Python and MS PowerBI, I am committed to transforming raw data into actionable solutions. Simultaneously, my minor in Computer Science has equipped me with a solid foundation in algorithms and coding principles.
Away from academic pursuits, I prioritize physical well-being. Regular visits to the gym and active participation in soccer not only serve as a means of relaxation but also reinforce the importance of discipline and teamwork.
In addition to my academic and athletic pursuits, I occasionally indulge in video games, appreciating the strategic challenges and immersive narratives they offer.
I approach my academic and extracurricular endeavors with a profound sense of curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning. My goal is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, exploring the intersections of business and technology.
In my CS50p final project, I've crafted a CLI user authentication system in Python, storing user credentials within a CSV file. I've implemented a comprehensive set of validations, addressing email format, password complexity, avoiding duplicates, and ensuring that passwords match usernames. These measures not only bolster the security of the authentication system but also contribute to a more user-friendly experience by guiding users through correct input procedures.

In this project, we used Calgary Police crime data and Census data to explore crime patterns over time. We compared different crime types and looked at how factors like unemployment and social disorder relate to crime trends. The interactive dashboard lets users easily compare crime rates by type, time, and neighborhood to better understand crime in Calgary.
Software used: Tableau
